FELTING INSTRUCTION FOR CHARTER SCHOOL STUDENTS
Students will begin with 2D projects that can be completed in 2 hours, and most often will be a subject matter that reflects the current season. A barbed needle is used, so students must be at least 7 years old. A 2 hour class is $30 per student, and all materials are provided, unless an optional frame, for instance, is purchased separately. Lessons take place at my home in Morgan Hill in southeast Temecula. There is room for 8 students in each class, PROVIDED at least one parent remains for the class time to assist. If no parent stays, then 6 is the max for each class session. No experience is required to learn to felt. These will be beginner classes.

Parents, when we have a conversation regarding enrolling your child(ren), I will be wanting their names, ages, the number of classes they will be taking for the semester and the days/times that will work with your schedule, and the email you would like me to send documents to that need to be signed and brought with you the first day of class.
After speaking with all of you, I will arrange the students according to grade levels, and then contact you to finalize the schedule.
As stated, the $30 course fee includes all supplies. After each class, the student(s) will be taking home their completed art work for that day, their stabbing mat, and a needle in case they want to refine their work at home. The stabbing mat and needle can stay at home, those are theirs to keep.
For September, we will first be making an apple 🍎 in 2D. If your student will be taking more than one class per month, a different project will be done at subsequent classes that month.

PRIVATE INSTRUCTION (1:1) FOR CHARTER SCHOOL STUDENTS
Students will begin with 2D projects that can be completed in 2 hours, and most often will be subject matter that reflects the current season. A barbed needle is used, so students must be at least 7 years old. A 2 hour private lesson will be provided at my home in Morgan Hill in southeast Temecula. The 2 hour lesson is $85, covers all materials, and includes a frame for the 2D projects. A parent may stay and do the project with their child for $15 to cover their material cost, excluding a frame. A frame can be purchased separately, however. No experience is required to learn to felt. These will be beginner classes.
FELTING INSTRUCTION FOR ADULTS AND STUDENTS NOT USING CHARTER FUNDS
Anyone age 7 and older can learn to felt. No experience is required. A barbed needle is used to tangle the wool fibers so they cling together and form something. Each session is at least 2 hours long, includes materials, and costs $30 per class. Beginners will start with 2D projects such as a summer landscape, a pumpkin or snowman. Frames for the completed 2D pieces are an extra charge. As skills build and participants are ready, 3D work can begin. 3D work requires more wool, and much more focus and skill as sculpting is the activity required to complete anything in 3D.
At some point if the students desire, the process of wet felting can be taught. Water, soap and agitation are used instead of a needle to tangle the wool fibers. The effect is beautiful, completely different and can be done for both 2D and 3D projects. At least 4 people need to participate for me to schedule a class, and a deposit of $20 is required when you register to hold your spot.
